Solar Protection Film

During the summer months, radiated solar heat and glare can make life uncomfortable in any enviroment,be it in the home, office or on the shop floor. CPF's Llumar range of technically advanced solar control films work to moderate temperature highs and lows.

In summer the films deflect the worst of the suns heat and reduce glare whilst still allowing the light through. During the winter, certain films reflect escaping heat back into the building. Many buildings fitted with Llumar wndow films have benefited from dramatic savings in air conditioning and heating energy costs.

Solar films also enable employers to comply with European Workplace legislation for thermal comfort and Display Screens Regulations for visual comfort against glare. In fact, too high or low temperatures can be breaking the law.

Fade Protection

Exposure to direct sunlight can cause many coloured or painted materials to fade. Damage due to fading is caused by UV light, visible light, heat, infra red light, artificial lighting, humidity and poor dye anchorage.

UV, visible light, and heat all pass through ordinary glass and can cause expensive damage to goods in the home, office or commercial building.

The range of Llumar fade protection window films is specially designed to filter out at least 99% of the harmfull UV, reject infa-red heat, reduce visible light transmission whilst still maintaining a pleasently lit living or working enviroment.

The range includes films which are ultra clear (once installed, the film is virtually undetectable), tinted or reflective to offer a choice of fade protection performance and visual characteristics.

Safety and Security Film

Safety and Security windows films are designed and tested to international standards to hold shattered glass in place as buildings can often be subject to attack by vandals, terrorist or even extreme climatic conditions.

The installed film converts plain glass into a type of laminated glass. If window glass is coated with one of the Llumar range of safety films and is subject to accidental impact, violent attack or explosion, the glass may crack or even shatter but would remain contained by the film.

Llumar safety films upgrade existing glazing to comply with legal and other requirements for safety against human impact.
